i always go back

I'm sitting here for 5 minutes now just scrolling back and forth at these photos and wondering what to say. It's not that I don't have something to say ― I just don't know how to say them because things always lose their sense when I try to take them out of my head. You've heard me say this a million times.

What I'm basically trying to do here is do a throwback of this travel in Cambodia just like how I did last year. It will be two years, 14 days from now, and every time I think of it I always consider my photos from Cambodia as the best photos I have ever taken in my short time of documenting life. I deem them as the best not because of the technicalities it bring to photography like composition, proper exposure, etc., but because when I look at them, they consistently bring me pure, peaceful memories and sensory.

The perfect combination of cool breeze and warm light.
Rich, clay-pot–colored soil covered by a carpet of dry leaves that crackle as you walk on.
Striking rays of light and patches of patterned shades.
Hearing distant conversations in languages I'll never decipher.

So happy that I've convinced myself it's okay to take a selfie (s/o to the man at the end of ramp whoever, wherever you are)

Please ignore my poor sense in fashion.

I have not taken out my Superheadz UWS after using it in this travel because the rubbery finish has turned sticky already. No thanks to my poor storage and maintenance (or lack thereof). Anyone has the same laziness as I do who could give me a tip on how to wipe it off completely?

unforgivable

I have not shot a single frame since March began. Quite unforgivable.

cafe de seoul

It was one of those days when an idea presents itself out of nowhere and I am not in the mood to follow my daily routine or to attend to responsibilities. So I headed out to the coffee shop I have always been meaning to visit: Cafe de Seoul. The first time I went here failed because it was closed, but I got in on this second try :)

Would love to have some time again to visit, I really had a good time with their caffé latte!

coron: sophia's garden resort

Comedor

While every island and lagoon in Coron is naturally beautiful on its own, this garden resort we stayed in is like the cherry on top of the trip, at least for me :) This is how I want my home to look like - a raised bungalow house made from wood and concrete with wide open windows, and a simple garden stretched with carpet grass!

In front of their comedor is a small pool and a jacuzi, which my friends and I spent a quiet, fun and super relaxed evening.

This tables and chairs setup is so romantic in nightime with those small capiz lamps dangling from the tree.

coron: banol beach

After a few minutes of lada-di-das in CYC Beach, we were summoned back to our boat to hop on the next island: Banol Beach. The insanely beautiful view approaching the island was more than enough to feed my vision: trees randomly sprouting from the rock formations, undeniably clear water and nipa huts nestled just a foot or two away from the white sand shoreline.

However, our bodies needed to be fed too, and demanded real food haha. After we found shade from the harsh noon light, it was not long until food was served in our hut. Pritong Isda, Inihaw na Liempo and fresh seaweeds, partnered with a bowl of soy sauce, calamansi and tomatoes is how I spelled perfection at that time.

I hoped to cap off the meal with an afternoon nap, but as I was lying there, I ended up staring at the sea instead.
