INSIDE ILOG MARIA

Apart from the obvious products Ilog Maria have in their shop, I found more interesting sights inside their farm. I tiptoed while getting closer to photograph the geese, but they had a business of their own and kept on walking away from me. When I lost hope on taking a closer shot, I walked back to the shop and met with Mr. Rooster and Sassy Cat instead :)

ILOG MARIA

My workmates and I arranged a day out one Saturday to spend some time together outside the gray, confined walls of our office. We stripped ourselves off from the deadlines and went out for a bit of nature trip. One of the places we have visited is this honeybee farm in Silang, Cavite: Ilog Maria (Ilog means river in Filipino).

Open sesame! :)

CHASING LIGHT

In between the past few days of walking the streets of a foreign land and the days to come with a huge waterfall of work, I squeeze myself into a tiny hole of chance to normally breathe. Like a light persistently creeping into a crack.

It's been a while since my last Chasing Light post.

CAFE NORITER | THREE

As much as I visually enjoyed the quirkiness of Cafe Noriter, I simply did not enjoy their Coffee Jelly at all :( It was too bland. Despite this, I'm still willing to try and visit them again :)

CAFE NORITER | TWO

Cafe Noriter is such a full-on house of quirks! I almost finished an entire roll of film snapping the cutesy stuff that I'm sharing the photos in three parts :)

This Korean playground in Taft, Manila reeks of teenage youthfulness. We took advantage of the emptiness of their two-storey seats where you can freely sit, or as how we did, sprawl on the floor (I know someone who did more than sprawl haha). I was delighted that the place had only about two small groups of students scattered around the back on a Saturday, so I was able to take photos much to my heart's content.

GOODBYE, APRIL!

To turn 27. A year of film photography. Casual walks, dinner foodtrips, golden hours. Days passed by with me lugging around with my old cameras and film. I have always yearned for something to call mine. I'm assuming everyone does. And I'm guessing too that this is innate, something that runs through our veins -- to hold on to something and deem it ours. A natural act to survive.

I have found mine in film. It's a joy, my joy. Despite the inquisitive looks I get the moment I hold a camera up to my face, their usual doubts as to how something primitive is still surfacing the modern times, and the little jokes you get for using something vintage. Despite that. No amount of doubt can break my love for film :)

The film days are numbered, they say. And that's exactly why this is a great time to live and shoot with film!

TOUCH OF GOLD

That golden hour in the morning made every corner in Angkor Wat shimmer with radiance. I could close my eyes any time, think of this wonderful morning, and be instantly taken to that moment as I walk through the first steps of the complex. The grass rustled quietly with every step. I hear distant voices. The cold morning breeze softly enveloped me as I pull my pashmina closer to my skin and marvel at the enchanting sight ahead.

Taking a pause with the black and white film for some touch of gold.
