GOING KOREAN

My friends and I at work have finally checked this lunch out off the long list of our “drawing” activities haha! We have been planning to eat at this Korean restaurant, Chambyuru, for months! It so happened that the two newbies, Joan and Delbert, were kind enough to share a treat of their “first blood.” This also became our send-off get-together for our foreign intern Hannah who, 3 days later, went back to Taiwan to finish her studies.

As for the food, I think everyone enjoyed a new eating experience. I have long waited to eat samgyupsal again! I especially liked the saltiness of their steamed egg, and their glorious white rice was delicious as well.

Everything was good actually! But I must admit, I still need a lot of practice in my composition while figuring out Bruce.

KIMI

This photo is so precious, I want to have it framed :) It is so rare (almost never) that I get to take a photo of her in focus. She’s always either running around or chewing a sock/rag/paper which annoys the hell out of me. But she’s so good on making it up by cuddling or propping her head on my thigh hehe :)

She’s 1 year old in her dog life, happy birthday Kimi!

BOOK COMFORT

Felt a bit dragged from what seemed to be endless pages of documents from work last Monday. Ironically, I still hungered for some leisure reading as an ice breaker since it’s only the start of the week.

There’s really an inexplicable freedom within the confines of these shelves! Ah, there goes the irony again. Spent at least an hour going around, stopping, touching books and flipping through them. It was quite a battle before I ended up in the counter, but I’m thoroughly enjoying what I have picked up since then: Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol :)

You bury yourself in a book and the world stretches before you.
