along the malacca river pt. i

Here comes my favorite part of my Malacca trip :)

A friendly stranger :)

Their chicken curry is the best!

Establishments beside the Malacca River are so pretty at night.

A 10-second long exposure :)

  2. I love your photos! Stumbled upon your blog accidentally and I'm so glad I did. I also shoot film here in the Philippines and I recently acquired a Canon AE-1 Program. Are you only using a kit lens for your camera? I'm still on my first roll and your photos excite me! Can't wait to see how my photos will turn out.

    1. Hi Ana! Welcome to my little space :) Canon AE-1P was my first SLR. It came with a sharp 50mm/f1.4 lens, and was appropriate for a first-timer like me at that time. I'm excited for you! You will love it!

Although, these set of photos from Malacca was the last I took with my Canon AE-1P. I sold it after, and settled with my other SLR Pentax KX because it was fully manual. I miss shooting with the Canon AE-1P sometimes, mainly because of the sharpness of the lens! I'm sure you'll have a blast with yours. Just make sure you have a fresh battery so the light meter will be accurate, if ever you depend on it :)

Link me up with your Canon AE-1P photos when you can! You can click on the tag if you want to see other sample shots. Enjoy shooting film :)

    1. Thank you, Mars! Just got lucky with 2nd to the last photo, it was shot 1/15 or 1/30 (cant remember haha), handheld. Last photo was a 10-second exposure I think? That's why exposure was better. Though I can't say I nailed it. The blurry part at the bottom is the table i propped the camera on :D

I should note my exposure settings next time. I just guesstimate and experiment most of the time, and then pat myself at the back when I get lucky haha.
