The GR1s is a great compact P&S! It could really fit in your pocket. When I'm going out and want to document the day's events, I simply pocket it or put it in a small bag without the heavy weight of an SLR. My one issue with it is I can't seem to get the hang of its horizontal grid. Most of my photos come out with a tilt.
I heard the Olympus Stylus Epic is a great, affordable P&S, you might want to consider that :)
Loved the first one and the segway shot! How are you liking the GR1s so far? Want to pick up a decent point and shoot myself :)
