- Have been able to finally watch Her. I don't follow Joaquin Phoenix's career, but I thought he was out of his body on his character as Theodore, a guy who fell in love with his OS (yes, as in Operating System) voiced by Scarlett Johansson. I would totally jump on this idea of bonding with your operating system if ever this materializes in a not so distant future. I liked the motif of this movie, but what I loved more is the soundtrack. Wow. I did not know Arcade Fire is that good. Their track Song on the Beach so closely reminded me of the theme song of that great old movie Somewhere In Time (with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour). Ahhh. Love. it. One question in mind though, what's with the high-waist pants in the future? Haha.
- Currently reading Eleanor & Park (!). Currently falling in love too. Rainbow Rowell is sprinkling her spell on me again. It's not impossible to see me on the bus reading, and casually snorting once in a while. Rainbow is currently writing the screenplay, btw and fyi. I really like her humor!
- My Lolo crush tweeted me!! I have this thing for profane men who can carry it so well, and with charm, then pairs with a wicked smart brain. My attraction really does follow a pattern: Jason Bateman (my future husband), Mo Twister (logical and realistic), this guy (from neverland) and this guy (from faraway) (them who must not be named). All curses with class. F-ing S of a B.
- Still a month before my list of TV series comes back from season break. Been watching second half of Grey's Anatomy S5 during commute on my way home because Arizona Robbins. Ultimate woman crush!
- For the nth time, I killed and resurrected my Twitter and Instagram accounts again. My friends hate me for this. I hate me for it too. Hahaha.
- Adulthood kicked in. Funded my long-term investment at last! :) Which also means I am broke now.
- We're only a month away from the next trip. It has taken its shape, thank God. I think this is the most stressed I've got in any of my trips, to think that I took a tour package when I've never had troubles with my DIY ones. There was a long exchange of emails, negotiation and even asking for favors.
- Speaking of trips, I booked another one before the year ends! No Christmas break leaves for me, but I'm excited to go back to this place and be mesmerized again :) Yay for travels!
- Kimi is celebrating her 2nd birthday today! :) :) She may not be the best-trained pet (haha) but definitely the sweetest (and the derp-iest too :D) Happy birthday to the one who loves me most :p

ReplyDeleteLove your posts of Life after Film!
Awww. Much appreciated Sara! I'm kind of enjoying making a list for this post, to be honest :D Can't help it, but I think I'm allowed to talk nonsense on my blog right? Haha.
DeleteAgreed. Kimi is adorable.. until she pees on the bed and chews your earphones hahaha!
What a cute dog! Happy birthday to Kimi!
ReplyDeleteSecret crush ko si Mo Twister :p And yes to Jason Bateman as well!
I have a habit of deactivating and activating my social media accounts as well. Facebook in particular. It's kinda therapeutic for me hahaha. Sometimes I get the urge to delete it permanently but its messaging function prevents me from doing so.
So easy to fall in love with Scarlett Johanssen's voice! But if ever I have an OS like that, I'd want it to have Kristen Bell's voice. Or Morgan Freeman hahaha!
To be fair, I've never deactivated Facebook. Because it's the only way I could get in touch with family abroad. And because I can't turn away from film photography-related groups (film and camera sellers heee)
DeleteI really don't have a crush on Mo, I just really like the way he thinks about things. But it's a diff story when it comes to Jason Bateman hahaha.
Thanks Bea! Nice to know the common things I share with others as well :)
1. Still can't decide if I love or hate Her. The stpry is way too weird for me, but the cinematography is just gold.
ReplyDelete3. Lolo crush/es! This is the first time I've read something like this on your blog. This Life After Film is A+! I have this impression of you that you're one serious and reserved lady. Haha!
8. Yay! Where are you going next? Can't wait for the photos
9. Happy birthday, Kimi! :)
1. I'm still not over the OST. It has outranked my love for the Before Midnight soundtrack!
Delete3. Oh my god Aia.. I kind of feel responsible for this misperception.. My close friends would roll their eyes on this hahaha! Kanto girl ako IRL :D :D
8. It's a domestic trip! Can't wait to take photos too :)
9. Thank you, Aia! :) :)

ReplyDeleteHi Barbara! I'm glad you've found my little corner here :) But I think I'm more amazed to have found yours.
DeleteI guess Kimi will always look like a puppy haha. Thank you for the visit!
