An MRT train recently got derailed on its way to Taft, Manila, the route I ride in every day from the office. A lot of issues has been raised since then, which reminds me of a famous quote from Enrique Penalosa, Mayor of Bogota in Colombia:
"An advanced city is not a place where poor move about in cars, rather it's where even the rich use public transportation."Photos are from BTS in Thailand.

ReplyDeleteI never had the courage to take a film picture inside our MRT.
Same here, Evelyn! These were shot from the train in Bangkok, and I guess I had the courage that time because I felt I was being touristy haha!
DeleteHonestly, I still gather enough courage first whenever I shoot anything in public. I get so conscious from strangers' stares. This one I know I have to overcome!
Beautiful photos. Loved especially the first one.
ReplyDeleteAnd I still struggle to pull my camera when in public. I hear peoples judgment in my head and it freezes me. I’m working on it, but it’s not easy, I know.
I can only let myself go when I’m out there, being a tourist. I think our brain and consciousness keep turned off while we are traveling, haha.
It sucks, no? But hearing the same struggle that you guys have makes me relax in a way. At least I'm not the only one! Haha. We'll overcome this in time, I know! :)
DeleteThank you, Thais!
Train photos are always lovely! <3 One of the places on my bucketlist to have an engagement shoot -- or any portrait shoot for that matter. :3
ReplyDeleteThat is a unique theme! And also so hard to pull off, I can only imagine! You will probably need a permit(?) for that one, if they ever allow such thing :|
Deletei never take photos in MRT too!
ReplyDeleteI have never either in our own MRT haha! I remember clicking the shutter button for the first photo, and all of a sudden all heads were turned to me hahaha! It was that loud. I just told myself that I'm a tourist and I will never see those people again :D :D
Delete:)
